Website for a small business in Poland: where to start

A small business does not need a 20 000 PLN "corporate portal". It needs a site that answers three customer questions: what you do, what it costs and how to reach you. In order: what the site must include, what it costs and where to start.

• A clear offer in the first screen: who, what and for whom – in 5 seconds.
• Prices or "from" ranges. Hiding prices scares people off – they assume the worst.
• Proof: work samples, reviews, photos – anything genuine.
• Easy contact: phone, form, messenger – one click at most.
• Speed and mobile: over half of traffic is phones; a slow site means lost inquiries and lower Google rankings.

Landing or multi-page

A landing page (one page) is enough when you have one main service and want to collect inquiries – an auto shop, a salon, repairs. A multi-page site makes sense when you have several services and each should catch its own Google queries (a separate page = a separate search position).

Practical path for a small business: start with a landing page, then after 2–3 months add pages for the services that generate the most inquiries.

Common small-business mistakes

• An "about us" site instead of a "for the customer" site – lots of company history, zero answers to the buyer's questions.
• No prices and no form – the customer has to call, so they do not contact you at all.
• Stock photos instead of real ones – they lower trust.
• No basic SEO: titles, descriptions, speed – the site exists, but Google does not show it.
• Domain and hosting registered to the contractor, not you – trouble at every change of contractor.
